Update 3.3.13 to 3.3.14 "installer detected a timeout"

Post by MADMARY1 »

Hello, :)

I am trying to update 3.3.13 to 3.3.14 but this is what I get:

Code: Select all

The installer detected a timeout
The installer has detected a timeout, you may try to refresh the page, which may lead to data corruption. We suggest that you either increase your timeout settings or try to use the CLI.

Skip “installer.update_filesystem.update_files” task
Skip “installer.update_filesystem.show_file_status” task
Skip “installer.update_filesystem.diff_files” task
Skip “installer.update_filesystem.check_task” task
Skip “installer.obtain_data.update_ftp_settings” task
Skip “installer.obtain_data.update_files” task
Skip “installer.obtain_data.file_updater_method” task
I could not find a solution so I contacted the host and got this reply:

Code: Select all

It looks like these errors are due to incompatible data types, or there’s a mismatch in how variables are being used. I would suggest to review the code with the help of PHPbb developer or by contacting their support forum.
What does this mean??? I don't have a clue. Please and help would be deeply appreciated. I have already updated 2 other phpBB boards which went smoothly but this board I got all that. :?:

Help me please,
MADMARY1

As far as I can tell it is this one:

If this error appears instantly, it means that an error has occurred, but that error was not correctly propagated to the installer.

What does that mean? I hope you can help me. :?:

Did you follow the steps listed for that section? What were the error messages in those logs?
