installation isn't running

It's odd that your hosting company said it can be reached but you can't. Can you try to reach the site from another ip address, like your mobile phone for example?

Done that. Two computers, two networks in two different locations, my cell hot-spot, three different browsers, cleared cache etc.

I may want to kick that back to the host then. Clearly people outside of their internal network are not able to access the site.

Just tried using the chrome browser on my phone. Same thing... goes to the Intro, click on the install tab, blank screen... I imagine any one of you could enter the same url and have the same experience.

Looks like I'm spending this evening on an iPower support chat. It's got to be something on the server side.

Are you sure you are in the correct folder? Usually you would be uploading to a "www" or "public_html" folder, not the top-level one.

Honestly, I'm not sure of anything right now. I was looking at this earlier wondering the same thing, but the structure is exactly the same as I used the last time I set up a phpbb forum... quite awhile ago. Still not sure though. I didn't get on the chat with my host tonight... needed a break... but I'll see what they think tomorrow.

...it might be obvious that this isn't what I do for a living...

I was about to say exactly the same as Brf.
What does the rest of that location look like that has /123 and /2015 in it. There is more to that folder further down.

I've been using this host for a very long time for a lot of different things, so there's a lot of stuff, and junk on this server including a couple of web sites, a couple of old phpbb sites, and then just junk that could and should be deleted. The installation I'm working on now is exclusively in the "afaforum" directory, and the "afaforum.jeepwhisperer.com" subdomain points at that folder.

I'm fixed... embarrassingly the problem was the directly structure not being correct. Strangely, I thought I was doing it the same way I had installed phpbb in the past (which, from the date I first joined this forum was quite some time ago) which worked fine.

In any case, it works now, so thanks for the help! Joe
