How To Get Rid Of Old Announcement Center Tab

Post by ghostlady »

How can I get rid of an old Announcement Center Tab in my Admin Index page? This is a left over from older Announcement Center extension I had long ago.

If I click on the tab I get this:

General Error
Cannot find module ./../includes/acp/acp_announcements_centre.php

BACKTRACE

It is possible that the extension files were deleted without properly disabling the extension in advance?

I would try putting back the extension files. Hopefully that will give you access to it in the ACP. Then disable the extension via the ACP and remove the files. There should be uninstall instructions on the extension's webpage and I would follow that.

It's possible that is what happened. It so old I would be afraid of installing the extension again.

Make a full backup first. What's the worst that can happen? If it doesn't work you just delete the files again.
