[ABD] Delayed Topics mod

Hi guys & gals...

I'm getting familiar with phpBB (great work!)... I've just finished writing a mod that allows users with the proper permissions to post a topic that will be delivered at a specified date.

I'd appreciate if you guys could tell me what you think and if you find any bugs. I'll probably be submitting it in a few weeks...

The mod is coded, tested (phpBB 2.0.1 + mySQL), documented, zipped...

I just don't have the faintest clue on how to submit it to the community...

Any help appreciated...

Well post it in this forum to start with, and if it's bug free, submit it to the Mods section of the site (link above).

I meant to submit it... the 'how' part seems to be missing

I tried logging in the mod section... ended up figuring out that to register you had to try and login without a userid/password.

So I registered, logged in... tried 'add link' and got an error message...

Let's try again... ah... it works

That's nice!

Anyway... I'll post it here first so it can get extended testing...

I've ran quite a few batch of tests on it... feels very stable...

Anybody wants to try it, tell me what they think?

use forum login/pw to get into

For some reason if you changed your password, u have to use your old one to login to there

Heh... I'd forgotten about this (was waiting for feedback).

Well, I've gone and submitted it... Works fine on my home page (runs a moded 2.0.1 phpBB)...

Let me know if any problems show up...

Well, it makes sense that it doesn't work well with the versions it never was tested with

. This mod was designed for 2.0.1 (nearly a year ago!)... things have changed since then (and since my phpBB is heavily modded, I never upgrade it.)

I'm giving it a quick look as I type (v2.0.5), 'cause I'm such a nice guy...

As it turns out, the functions' templates have not changed since 2.0.1, so it should still work.

Most likely they've been changed by another mod you installed...

Ok, I already updated to 2.05 ..

Can't just give me a clue? cuz I already seen another board running 2.05 and with that working .. but they don't say what they did to make it work

I think it should work with a clean 2.05... do you have any other mods installed?

Ok, I just fixed it. My mistake!

Just a little enhancement: put the "forcetime" or delayed time in preview box of msg and after previewing keep the msg delaying time (not deleting the field delayed topic ...)
