wherever the pros and cons of user-supported software are discussed, one of the most prominent pros is that the user community is capable of finding (and often, fixing) bugs as well, or better, than a QA organization within a software company.
i think phpBB misses a lot by not having any way for the users to report bugs.
if there is an establish system which is temporarrily down, i think you should open a regular thread for bug-report as part of the discussion forum.
for instance, i noticed a problem which other users have experienced too in 2.0.13. i couldnt report it, hoped that it will somehow be fixed in 2.0.14, and guess what? it wasn't.
for lack of a better place, i will report the bug here. i know it is not the right place, but it seems there is no right place...
ok, here goes:
move a topic to another forum. elect to leave a "shadow".
it moves fine, and the shadow is created fine.
now view the topic below the shadow , and choose "view next topic", such that you are supposed to see the moved topic.
not only you dont see the moved topic, but when you go back to the topic list, the shadow have disappeared, i.e., the "next" have ironed it out. (same with "previous" from the other side)
it doesn't matter who uses the "next"/"previous". it doesnt have to be the admin that moved it. it can even be a guest. the shadow will be ironed out.
