MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
This simple MOD makes it so that only fields that are required when registering and shown on the register page. User's will have to edit their profile if they want to add IM contacts, signatures, and change other settings.

Great!

I want to simplify for my users as much as possible.

But... If i want, for example, the language drop down to be visible with this mod - how do i accomplish that?

I ran this mod.

Then "Configure Member Profile Required Fields"

When I configure a field as required, it doesn´t show up.

Maybe this mod doesn´t work that way? Do i have to make all fields i want required BEFORE i install it?

And, if that´s true; can i just reinstall it over the original install with EM to get the additional required fields in the registration process?

Thanks in advance.

This mod is not dynamic in that way, you would need to move and add more switches

But - if i make more fields required BEFORE installing the mod, will they be kept?

Or does the mod use the original PhpBB required fields?

It uses the original fields. Exactly what other fields do you want to be shown?

This one is more simple, only adds switches to the tpl file

I am using this to stop advertise sites from new members, i have edit profile_add_body file, and test it, registered and its working fine, i have in admin panel, that, only Admin can activate account, even so, the new registered member can add in advertise site's.

Any idea why this is, why new member can put in website address, even i have not activate account.

This is wery strange, because this mod works fine, i have try to register, and i can not add inn websites before admin has activate account, how do they add in websites, if i have not activate it.

I think all the mod does is hide the form fields. It doesn't actually stop anyone from sending in that data. So any automated signup system would keep sending the same old fields that it always does.
