MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
Some browsers which are set to autofill usernames and passwords will autofill your username and password when editing other users in the Admin Users panel. This MOD prevents this by adjusting the names of these fields in the form so that the browser doesn't make this mistake.

Thanks for getting this validated. The MOD is a joint effort between me and Marshalrusty. He did the code and I wrote it up and submitted it.

Are you getting an error message? What is stopping you from accessing user management?

Just added this MOD. Did not allow me to type in users name <user not found>. and when I tried to use a wildcard, it found them, but when I selected a users it did not close window, fill in username. Pending restore of files.

Looks like you missed the Javascript in admin/search_username.tpl, which says:

Code: Select all

function refresh_username(selected_username)
{
        opener.document.forms['post'].username.value = selected_username;
        opener.focus();
        window.close();
}
Probably should be changed to:

Code: Select all

function refresh_username(selected_username)
{
        opener.document.forms['post'].username_fillfix.value = selected_username;
        opener.focus();
        window.close();
}
But, then again, I'm not a javascript expert.

This edit was somehow omitted from the uploaded version. That has now been taken care of. New version has been uploaded and should be available for download soon.

I don't have search_username.tpl in my template/.../admin/ folder but in the template base folder itself. I hope the search username script is not used in any other place then for the actual management page or that edit will render the search useless on other pages.

yes, that is where the file is, and as far as I know that is the only place it is used.

I already did the patch after I did a quick search through the code and that seems to support what you are saying. Anyways no complaints so far ;)

Hmmm, I just did a brand new phpBB install (v 2.0.18 ) with no mods, yet.

The location of the function is in the specified file, but the file is located in

templates/subSilver/search_username.tpl

This does not seem to me to be the any of the afore mentioned locations:

admin/search_username.tpl
templates/search_username.tpl (base templates directory)

so I am a little confused.

There seems to be a problem after installing the MOD:

The other user functions no longer work; Ban control and Permissions.
