MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
Allows an image to be assigned to each usergroup. Users that are in the usergroup will have the image be displayed below their signature in their posts (multiple images can and will be displayed). This can be disabled on a user-by-user basis.

From the development topic:

==========
Is it possible to display the usergroup images elsewhere? Such as under the number of posts by a user?
==========
Yes, that's no problem. Just move this code part in templates/subSilver/viewtopic_body.tpl around:

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN switch_showgroupbars -->
<br/>{postrow.GROUP_BARS}
<!-- END switch_showgroupbars -->
For example, to place it to the left, under the number of posts, place it here:
<!-- BEGIN postrow -->
<tr>
<td width="150" align="left" valign="top" class="{postrow.ROW_CLASS}"><span class="name"><a name="{postrow.U_POST_ID}"></a><b>{postrow.POSTER_NAME}</b></span><br /><span class="postdetails">{postrow.POSTER_RANK}<br />{postrow.RANK_IMAGE}{postrow.POSTER_AVATAR}<br /><br />{postrow.POSTER_JOINED}<br />{postrow.POSTER_POSTS}<br />{postrow.POSTER_FROM}</span><br />
<!-- BEGIN switch_showgroupbars -->
<br/>{postrow.GROUP_BARS}
<!-- END switch_showgroupbars -->

</td>
<td class="{postrow.ROW_CLASS}" width="100%" height="28" valign="top"><table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">

Very nice MOD! :D But I have made some changes in a file viewtopic.php...
This code:

Code: Select all

$sql = "SELECT ug.user_id, g.group_bar
	FROM " . USER_GROUP_TABLE . " ug, " . GROUPS_TABLE . " g
	WHERE ug.group_id = g.group_id
		AND g.group_bar <> \"\"";
Replace with:

Code: Select all

$sql = "SELECT ug.user_id, g.group_id, g.group_name, g.group_bar
	FROM " . USER_GROUP_TABLE . " ug, " . GROUPS_TABLE . " g
	WHERE ug.group_id = g.group_id
		AND g.group_bar <> \"\"";
This:

Code: Select all

$images_group_bars .= '<br /><img src="' . $group_bars[$group_bar]['group_bar'] . '" />';
Replace with:

Code: Select all

$images_group_bars .= '&nbsp;<a href="' . $phpbb_root_path . 'groupcp.'.$phpEx.'?' . POST_GROUPS_URL . '=' . $group_bars[$group_bar]['group_id'] . '" title="' . $group_bars[$group_bar]['group_name'] . '"><img src="' . $group_bars[$group_bar]['group_bar'] . '" /></a>';
Now, if to click on a picture, the necessary group will open... :)

P.S. I hope all it has correctly turned out?

That idea sounds good, I'll implement it in the next version. I think your changes will do the trick, although you might want to add the '<br />' between images if you want to display them under each other.

Yes, I have understood... But I have placed images in the left part of the message and have made them less, as icons... :wink:

Wow this is a kool Mod. I haven't seen this in all the times I've been on this board.
I really want to istall this on my board (sometime this week) but first I'd like to ask if there is still support if I have a problem installing?

Thank you kindly.
