[DEV] Gallery Integration Mod.

There's currently a released version of this Mod version 1.3.4 which is compatible with Gallery 1.3.1 available from:

http://www.snailsource.com/

There are plans (when time allows) to improve the mods administration system significantly to provide group permissions (as much as possible) and tie in with the phpBB2 system.

Note: This is NOT a standalone Mod and requires Gallery from http://gallery.sourceforge.net/ in order to work.

Yeah... The MOD version 1.3.4 is compatible with Gallery version 1.3.1 (final).

MOD 1.3.1 was only compatible with version 1.3.0 of Gallery.

These version numbers a mite confusing even for me though

Hi Nexialys,

You wouldn't say that if you saw the back end... Still very messy.. I'll be sending you the code when I find the time to re-write the thing properly and make a good enough job for people to use and understand.

If I released it now people would be seriously questioning my skills

Hi,

did someone has an idea how to show a random picture out of all galleries on index.php?

I tried block_random.php and a modification, but did not get it work. I just saw it work on some sites using portal.php etc.!

Tobi, Information about adding a block that pulls a random image out of the gallery is on www.snailsource.com under the gallery intergration forum.

I have been running that script for over a month now I think.

The pre-release version of 1.4.1 is now available...

Version updates include:

Compatability with Gallery 1.3.2
(which includes Imagemagick compatability as an option instead of NetPBM)
Register Globals='off' compatability
(Register Globals settings will no longer affect the functioning of the MOD )
Simpler Administration of global access to Gallery functions
...through the User/Usergroup admin panel in phpBB2.
(No longer necessary to create a Gallery_admin or Gallery_user group)

Compatability Info:

Gallery 1.3.2 (final/gold) ( http://gallery.sourceforge.net/ )
PhpBB2 2.0.3 (final) ( http://www.phpbb.com/ )

It is not a standalone mod. It requires both phpBB2 and Gallery 1.3.2 to be installed as per the instructions...

...not really related to Snailsource's integration mod...but do anyone know when the Gallery team is going to include better templates/support for languages...its tiresome to edit the core files for every upgrade...
