Hi guys,

Is there a mod that will break up all public email addresses while not affecting the ability to be able to send emails to them via the board's own built-in methods?

Thanks?

Just wonder the function of

(gmdate('U')-$HTTP_POST_VARS['date'])<600

Is it checking the time between the click "Post new post" and they submit?

If so, it will be quite difficult to say 600s is enough or not.

Testing on my phpBB 2.0.20

Post by geo_ego » Fri Apr 28, 2006 4:08 am

I installed it on my 2.0.20 successfuly. Normally I get 3 - 5 spam postings every day. Will see how this MOD help.

Couple days ago I installed Visual Confirmation for Guests MOD (http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=266787) - it did not help at all, but seemed working as supposed to.

I installed this mod with EasyMOD and got the following message:

Critical Error

}

having a quick scan through the code and this is def. 'one to watch'

it uses extra fields created by an encryption of some variables..

If a spambot tries to post without entering the posting.php page like all humans do ( yes it is possible ! ) the code is either missing or incorrect.

great job!
