MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
Adds a section to your board where users can add lots and lots of details about their automobiles and view the information for other users. A MUST-HAVE for communities that talk about cars. ;)

Any screen shots. I run an aviation site and some of the members own aircraft. Instead of cars, can it be changed to aircraft somehow? Only asking because I have no idea what this mod info looks like so a screen shot would be helpful.

Thanks 8)

Seems to be a pretty sweet mod! I just loaded it on my site and users are allready adding vehicles at 1:30 in the morning. Only problem ive seen so far is when you select a make then try to add a model that is not listed you get a javascript error. however if you try to add a make that isint there it works fine. If anyone wishes to see an active install I have it up and running on

http://forums.automotivelifestyle.com

Thanks for a sweet mod :D

There are many many features to this - you can have a look at a live copy @ http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/garage.php

You can also get support / image packs from www.phpbbgarage.com

I will ok course very closely monitor this thread and provide the best support I can.

Glen I -> It makes full use of the language system..so yes it could very easily be changed to work for aircraft. You would want to turn off some of the vehicle specific features but the ACP has options for all that.

SCIIRoscoe -> Hmm..yes I see that. That feature used to work perfectly so somthing in the after the last RC must of broken it. I will try get a fix for that as soon as possible.

EDIT: Fix for SCIIRoscoe's bug

Open /templates/subSilver/garage_vehicle.tpl
Find

Code: Select all

<a href="javascript:add_model("YES")">{L_HERE}</a>
Replace with

Code: Select all

<a href="javascript:add_model('YES')">{L_HERE}</a>
I will do a general fix release i.e 1.0.2 in a week or so as I have a list of 4-5 tiny bugs I would like to resolve as well.

This has been a long time favorite MOD for my site since you first introduced it. The guys/gals on my site really enjoy all the features you have put into it.

I have used it on many different templates. All you have to do is replace SubSilver with whatever template you are using; "Charcoal" for you.

msporis -> As mentioned by Patrick. Follow the install instructions and edit all the template files for that specific template. Plus copy all the garage template files to the different template location. The MOD will work very nicely on many templates.

yea, but i dont know to edit charcoal2 template files, cause they have different code and i cant find lines that i need to find so i could put phpbbgarage code code.
for example... in overal_header.tpl of charcoal2 template i cant find line
"<td align="center" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap"><span class="mainmenu">"
so i dont know where to put
"<img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_members.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_GARAGE}" hspace="3" /><a href="{U_GARAGE}" class="mainmenu">{L_GARAGE}</a>&nbsp;<img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_members.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_QUARTERMILE_TABLE}" hspace="3" /><a href="{U_QUARTERMILE}" class="mainmenu">{L_QUARTERMILE_TABLE}</a>&nbsp;"

cause i would have to put it in line that i cant find

msporis -> Can you send me a link to where you got that template. Obviously I can not make edits available for all templates..but if you let me know where you got it I might have a shot at it.
