MOD Validated/Released

Notes:
As the description suggests, this is a quote-like bbcode for your members to use.

A great thank to the MOD team! :D

Never more something like
Bill Gates wrote: -> quoted text from a Gates' interview

Bill most probably isn't a user of your board and he has never wrote anything on it!!!
You are now able to enter stuffs like

Code: Select all

[title="from a Bill Gates interview"]quoted text from a Gates' interview[/title]
so the box title is that between quotes.

See this page for many other usage examples.

Bye

I installed this mod today and very much enjoy it but have one question. Is there anyway to get rid of the colon that appears when someone neglects to enter anything in the [title=""] tag. In testing I left the tag blank and since people might very well do this on my forum I'd like to be able to get rid of that colon.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi TBS, Thanks for your interest in my BBcode!
Look at the file templates/default_template/bbcode.tpl and find

Code: Select all

<strong>{USERNAME}{L_FREE}:</strong>
you simply have to delete that colon!

Hi,
I have installed your bbcode, maybe I missed somewhere, check very carefully but can not find any error (I used MorpheusX Style)

[title="blah blah"][/title] code was not interpreted by BBCode, it sill display as "[title="blah blah"][/title]". What did I do wrong?

Thanks :D

Hi Mega, thanks for your interest.
Maybe you have to check for the right version of MOD, look at this.
By chance, I tested Title BBcode in a MorpheusX style board, it works fine.

have you previously installed Multiple BBcode MOD? My BBcode main version requires it.

Please make me know.

Bye, carlton

Hi Carlton,
I have checked, MBBC 1.4.0 is installed properly, your [title] BBCode is still not functional.... [title] ==> [title]...
could you give me some hints to trace where the error/mistake is ? I checked very careful and found nothing wrong. :D

Thanks !

Doesn't work.

I am currently running v2.0.21, and the first command in the mod is
#-----[ OPEN ]---------------------------------
#
includes/bbcode.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------------
#
$EMBB_widths = array(''

Well,
$EMBB_widths = array(''

Isn't in
includes/bbcode.php

Hi Rambo 4104,

pay attention to the first (IMPORTANT) note of the MOD:

Code: Select all

##	- IMPORTANT NOTE: you have to install Multiple BBcode MOD 1.4.0c before you install
## this mod... you can find that MOD here: www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=145513
The line

Code: Select all

$EMBB_widths = array(''
is added by Multiple BBcode MOD...

Hi Carlton,
Found the line of code that caused probs so share with you.

Don't know why no body here has this problem but me:
In you file:

Code: Select all

$text = bbencode_first_pass_pda($text, $uid, '/\[quote=\\\\"(.*?)\\\\"\]/is'
I replaced by:

Code: Select all

$text = bbencode_first_pass_pda($text, $uid, '/\[quote=\\\\"(.*?)\\\\"\]/is'
No HTML Escape for " when you edit bbcode.php
Hope this helps who has same probs as me. :D

Thank Carlton for this great MOD !
