A little tweak...

Post by ChriZathens »

Hi, all...
Can U help me on something???
I am using the Redsilver theme...
I want to make posts so that they have different background..
Don't freak out :lol: I don't mean all to have different background..
I will try to explain better (english is not my native language , so I'm sorry..)

I mean this : In subsilver theme , when you read a thread, the first post's background color is silver-grey , the next post is a darker silver-grey, then the third is like the first one (silver-grey) , the fourth like the second (darker silver-grey) etc...
In Redsilver theme, all the posts have the same background color and It is a little tiring...
Can someone give me some instructions on how to do this??

Hi , there ,and thanx for replying...
Well, i thought it had to do with css, or cfg, but is it only there?
And which parts do I have to edit? :?:

I changed this part (in RedSilver.css) :

Code: Select all

/* Main table cell colours and backgrounds */
td.row1	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
td.row2	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
td.row3	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
into this :

Code: Select all

/* Main table cell colours and backgrounds */
td.row1	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
td.row2	{ background-color: #FCE6B8; }
td.row3	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
but nothing has changed... Is this section wrong???

Take that section, and copy it into the overall_header.tpl file.

You will be looking for a section that has the same lines, but instead of hex color codes, it will probably say something like ROW1 and ROW2 etc.
Please refrain from PM'ing me for support unless I specifically ask you to.......

Well I found something like this....

Code: Select all

/* Main table cell colours and backgrounds */
td.row1	{ background-color: {T_TR_COLOR1}; }
td.row2	{ background-color: {T_TR_COLOR2}; }
td.row3	{ background-color: {T_TR_COLOR3}; }
Is this perhaps the correct place?
But then how can I change {T_TR_COLOR1}{T_TR_COLOR2}{T_TR_COLOR3} ???
Instead of {T_TR_COLOR1} I must enter the Hex code color???
Like

Code: Select all

td.row1	{ background-color: #F2F0E9; }
???
