Post by merlinux »

Larveando Team is working in a phpBB3 spanish translation.
You can take a look to our work here
At this moment we have done ucp, mcp and front end stuff.
In a very few days we can give you a download link for a first (and surely incomplete)
pre-release.
Also we started to work in a more specific es_AR translation.
Of course any help and feddback will be apreciated. Please feel free emailing me.

Hi David, yes I read that post.
Sure you are wondering why this topic was open.
The reasons are:
This is not an official translation, is a free collaboration.
This is an usable spanish translation but, as I said, finally
will be an es_AR translation. (I agree should modificate the title)
This is a live demo, you can see the work in progress.
I not PM to Acyd Burn. Not mention worth.
I hope this effort helps anybody immediately...
In my country so many people is not installing phpBB3 cause there
is not an spanish translation at hand. Thank for interesting 8)

Hi Raul and merlinux,

Thank you for the explanation :) - I think I get the picture now :)

Isen't it correct, that spanish-argentinian is not exactly the same language as "pure/plain" Spanish? (I recall having read about it somewhere long time ago).

- If that is the case, I really do not see any reason why not getting the es-ar translation listed in the translators/languages list (as a separate language) maintained by Acyd Burn (as already mentioned above by David)

Why are you not posting in English, when other language than English is not allowed on .com ??
