Even when you turn off that config? :?.

*runs to test board*

On my board it shows just black with that turned off.
Nope, ure right, it does show black... ah well, the fix works so that's good for me... :)

Hello, Erik...
Merry Xmas !!!
Just installed your mod, although I've been watching it closely since you started developing it :)

A few things:
1. I had acid burns advanced quoting and after conversion all my posts with quotes were a little messed up.
After installing your mod it reparsed all messages and everything is fine
You rock, man :lol:

2. When I click on the post's time to go back to the original post, if the original post is in the same page it works just fine anytime (as far as i've seen till now)
If the original post is in another page, the "jump to post" thing is not as precise as it should be.. eg: In one case it jumped to the correct post but in the middle of it, in a different case it jumped to a wrong post... :shock:

These for now...
Nice job, again !!!

EDIT: I just wrote a post and quoted it.. It was 10th post in the second page of the topic. Clicking on the post time jumped back to the first post of the topic... :(
EDIT2: An option to disable the mod (but keeping all messages correct) would be nice, too... :D
EDIT3: Forget about EDIT2... :lol: Setting all to No does the job...Sorry :oops:
My mods in MODDB:
Add Homepage link in header - Change user activity post limit - Post number in viewtopic
If you need support click on the support tab there and post your question.
Do not PM me - chances of viewing my PMs are way thinner than viewing the support question in the customization DB...

Thanks for the wake up call :).

Bussy bussy :).
But I'll give you an little update. Been working on V1.2 but before I finish it I want to have V1.0 validated (Which is submitted to the queue on Fri Nov 30, 2007 1:28 pm).
By that time I hope to had a look at all the open problems which are stated in this topic.

Now back to code on my school project :ugeek:.

Hi there.

I have updated the package to version 1.0.1 Download can be found in the first post. The updates are based on the deny reasons for the MODDB.
This version contains no critical changes.

From this point on I will be developing V1.2, and therefor not submit 1.0.1 to the db.

Today I have been working on this mod and decided that I'll start from scratch. There are to many parts in the current version I don't like.
One of the things I want is far less hacking in the phpBB core. I'll let you know when it is beta quality :).

So there's actually no need to try this version out if you don't even like it yourself? :lol:
But a great mod, in fact... I'll keep watching the development. 8-)

Well I like the mod. I don't like the way I implemented it at the moment :wink:. But if you try it, you can post bugs so the new version can be released earlier :).

Open ./includes/bbcode.php, Find:

Code: Select all

$post_link .= date ($user->data['user_dateformat'], $param['post_time']);
After-add:

Code: Select all

$split = "wrote at ";
Find:

Code: Select all

$post_link .= $param['post_subject'];
After-add:

Code: Select all

$split = "wrote in ";
Find:

Code: Select all

return $username . (($post_link != "") ? ' - ' . $post_link : '');
After-add:

Code: Select all

return $username . (($post_link != "") ? '  '.$split . $post_link : '');
Should do the trick.

Doesn't work for me. After-add means on a new line after the one the search is on?? Another idea??

And I have found a "bug". When I view my site in Dutch, I see the date of the original post in the qoute in English. Do you know how to fix this :?:

Yes.

The wrote at and wrote in?
Yes they are always English sins they are hard coded (I know it is wrong). In the next version I'm going to use the language system so the user can create the title as he wants :).

I mean the time and date of the original post.
