[How To] Modify prosilver's header

I use phpbb 3.0.8. I want our name to show up in the User Agreement and Browser Tabs. It seems the only way to do this is to add our Site name and description in my ACP Board Settings.

Using this post I have removed

<h1>{SITENAME}</h1>
<p>{SITE_DESCRIPTION}</p>

from my styles/prosilver/template/overall_header.html
I am using prosilver theme,
I have cleared my cache but it stills show up

Is this still the way to do it in 3.0.8


Sometimes I don't get enough sleep, its fixed.....Then refresh the template cache in the admin panel>styles section.

Hey guys... I am trying to add a random image to the right of my site logo. I have tried following the add a random header image, but it didn't do anything for me. Im running 3.0.9. I did the tutorial on adding an image to the right of the site logo and that worked. But, I am wanting a random image. I have 6 images in my style/prosilver/theme/images directory that I would like to use. I did all the steps exactly as per the instructions, which were written in 2007 which is why I think they may be outdated. I have a fixed width forum that is 800px wide. I have my site logo set at 400px wide and I sized my pics to 200px giving a 100 px space to the left and right of the pics... Thanks for any help in advance... oh yea, the adding random header image description is for making a random header image behind the logo, but I want my random logo to the right..

Hey everyone, like most people here my issue is with the random header script.

It was working fine for a while, but one image seems to be stuck within my cache or something... It's bizzare how the random header doesn't change every time you visit a page but the logo does?

Anyway, I was wondering if any of you style experts had any ideas as to why this is happening and maybe offer a solution? I'm willing to experiment anything, I just want this feature to work!

Hello,

I'm tying to have my .jpg logo just above the blue headerbar (not part of it) so that it's on a white background. However, everything I've tried makes it still end up within the blue headerbar. What's the trick to get it out of there.

I'm adding a custom header to a clients forum, but it is not showing up. I've gone through all the steps to add the header and removed the site name and description.

Don't post test accounts with acp access, someone might use it to mess up your forum.

Anyway, if changes in templates aren't showing, click big "purge cache" button on admin control panel index. If changes in css files aren't showing, go to acp -> styles -> themes and click refresh link.

You will also need to refresh the template files if you have edited overall_header.html to remove say titles and descriptions, search boxes etc.

Thanks for the heads up on this, but it was not an account with acp access, just a simple member.

Now I'm having some really weird things happen. I had already refreshed both the theme and templates. I left for a while and when I logged back in the header shows on the page that says "You have been successfully logged in." But it disappears on the board index page. Same thing on log out.

Is your account using a style other than prosilver? The custom header shows fine when I logged in as xxx

Hi, newcomer here with a question. Is there any way to have a single image that spans the width of the board in prosilver? I'm sorry if this question has been asked already, but there are 100 pages to this thread, which will take time to sift through and I'm hoping to get a quick response.
