I'm still not sure if I'm providing the "topic calendar" - it wasn't in the inital design... but I'm curious if you want the option to turn it on and off - does that mean you plan to disable it if added - ie you don't need the topic functionality?pokerpeer wrote:I took a quick look at this. Very nice mod indeed. If you do include the topic calendar I would like an enabled/disabled option in the ACP.
The example made sense... it sounds like you DONT want a topic calendar... you either need a post calendar, or you need the calendar to be independent (as it is now) and let the idividual members post events on the calendar (although the members would be responsible for including a link to the topic thread in the event body).xnitelifex wrote: As you can see, it wouldn't make sense for member 1 and member 2 to create two different topics for the same museum just to add to the calendar. I simply find it more organized this way.
I hope my example makes sense. Thanks!
Wow, thanks for the quick reply! I think I found something that will work as I described, but it's only for phpbb2. No - topics are threads (in otherwords there are many posts/replies in a single topic)... what you described was you wanted multiple events for a single topic... because there's the main topic about museums then the individual replies are posts in that topic. You want the ability to make one event per reply/post, not one event per topic thread.xnitelifex wrote:I think I found something that will work as I described, but it's only for phpbb2. I think topic calendar is what I want and not a post calendar. Hopefully I didn't get myself confused.
My mod doesn't have any support for creating events automatically when posting... so no it's not a topic calendar, however there are recent request for adding topic calendar support. I'm not sure if I'll add it or not so I'm gathering requirements from everyone's wish list to weigh the demand.xnitelifex wrote:Is your mod similiar?
I like the calendar as it is. I was saying if its built into this mod some administrators would want to disable it. I have no need for the topic calendar.alightner wrote:I'm still not sure if I'm providing the "topic calendar" - it wasn't in the inital design... but I'm curious if you want the option to turn it on and off - does that mean you plan to disable it if added - ie you don't need the topic functionality?pokerpeer wrote:I took a quick look at this.
