 Just what you all need, another quick reply. But the others didn't seem to have all the options I wanted, so I just decided to write my own. Plus, this way I could make it compatible with my other MODs.

Is this specifcly made for the Prosilver style or so? Cause I use a custom style, but would really like to use this on my own forum. (Also I am still a noob in PHP but willing to learn, so explanation how I could use it with a custom style would be appreciated.)

I did not tested this QR yet, but is it possible to have a 'quote selected' option?

You can use it with any style. I have two custom-made styles on my board (one based on prosilver and one based on subsilver2).

It will work with my Prime Multi-Quote MOD so you can quote multiple posts, but currently you cannot select part of a post and have only the selection quoted. I originally had this implemented, but removed it because this method removes all BBCode formatting, so quote-boxes, links, spoilers, and the like all get turned into normal text, which I could foresee causing problems, especially if users don't realize this.

efortless install thanks and nicely done.

2 things initially :

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/prime_quick_reply.php on line 100: Undefined variable: enable_guests
[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/prime_quick_reply.php on line 273: Undefined variable: notify_checked
guests viewing is disabled and notify is not selected (have not attempted to adjust yet).

bbcode and smilies start left of the left side of the message area - could that be aligned the same please?

**EDIT** - could the font color not be displayed by default, and the options be hidden by default - once set the options settings stay as expected.

Okay, I fixed these two problems. To update, just overwrite with the new prime_quick_reply.php file.

I don't understand. The quick-reply options are aligned to the same side as the poster information (right for prosilver, left for subsilver2). The font color selector is not displayed by default for prosilver, but is for subsilver2, but only when the BBCodes are displayed. And are you asking for an option to hide all of the quick-reply options by default, or are you asking about hiding specific quick-reply options be default? Because the later can be done via the ACP.

thanks for the quick fix - will grab that soon.

was meaning this is the default I get :

Image

the font colour shows by default and the options on the right always show even though hidden as of last use. The bbcode and smilies you will see align left of the message area.

I can certainly hit the font colour to remove it but it appears again on the next topic navigated to.

cheers.

**EDIT** - replaced the updated php - now getting this :

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/prime_quick_reply.php on line 202: Undefined index: notify_set
**EDIT2** - looks like the font colour displaying is my end as on a fresh install it does not show by default. but why is something I'll sort out.

I came to the same conclusion. Anyway, I think I finally have that "Notify me of replies" thing worked out. I also added an option to the ACP to hide the options by default. This is version 0.1.2. To upgrade, overwrite all of the old files with the new files, AND re-do the instructions for the second "includes/acp/acp_board.php" modification.

Whether or not the options are visible are hidden will not be remember between pages. The only thing that will be remembered (if you have that option set) is if the user has the form hidden or visible.

Sounds like there may have been an installation error somewhere. Go through and double check everything.

0.1.2 - with debug on, entering ACP -> Post settings :

Code: Select all

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/prime_quick_reply.php on line 63: Undefined index: QUICK_REPLY_ADMIN_LAST_PAGE_ONLY
with debug off :
Image

the additional ACP hide Reply option works great thanks.

cheers,
oddfish.

I forgot to put the updated language file into the ZIP. It should be there now.

primehalo, excellent mod! Really like it, works like a charm :)

One thing I like to do is to make the hide/show text into a button, like the normal postbutton. Feels like the placing and the line when hidden doesn't fit in.
