dropped some tables!

Post by op76 » Wed Feb 05, 2003 1:10 am

I installed phpMyAdmin and did some mods to my phpBB. After that I thought to drop some old tables from database (I´ve installed phpBB twice before this last installation). So I checked all tables with phpBB and phpBBnew because my actual third phpBB is using phpBB2. And now my board won´t work anymore! What went wrong and could I repair it?

A) You deleted the wrong tables somehow.

B) Do you have a backup?

save your database by the acp(admin control panel) then, delete all the phpbb2 file, and after do a fresh instalation of phpbb2.0.4, after by your acp, you need to reload the saved database.

A. That can´t be...everything is still there. I checked with WS_FTP LE

B. Yes, but it´s old week or so. (Full backup)

A) WS_FTP can't tell you about the status of your DB.

B) Re-upload your backup.

But I´ve done so much modification to it. Created my own style and everything. And I can´t even go to admin´s panel.

Is there a way to backup all posts direct with WS_FTP?
