Seems to be working fine with phpbb 3.0.6 for me.

Where can I edit the message that is shown to users after they complete the step which requires them to verify their accounts via e-mail? I caught a glimpse of it during installation, but forgot where it was.

Hello folks,
I've done ADAP 1.4.3 just in 2009! ;) Yeah :!: 8-)

It's the come-on-phpBB-3.0.6 release. ;)

You can download it from my website.

I've sent it to the phpbb.com MODDB for validation, too.

Regarding a previous install of 1.2.4 on a phpbb 3.0.4 referenced on page 15 of this thread, "by Monteria » Fri May 29, 2009 7:16 pm"....

Recently, new registrants are not receiving the confirmation email. I have checked all settings, the first two options in "email settings" are still selected, I have cleared cache and no other mods have been installed.

Everything else associated with the install seems to be working fine.

When I checked the "error log", every new registration produced the following error.
Anonymous 66.82.162.11 Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:54 pm E-mail error
» EMAIL/PHP/mail()
/forum/ucp.php

Do you have any ideas, what might have gone wrong?

Thank you,

Steve

Hello Steve,
please give me the URL your board e.g. per PM.

Send me all edited files from the folder ./includes/ucp to [email protected] .

Are you using phpBB 3.0.6 and ADAP 1.4.3?

All folks a happy new year 2010!

Happy new year to you also.

I am still running the original ADAP 1.2.4 on PHPBB 3.0.4 from last May. No changes or updates have been made.

I will follow up with an email containing the URL and edited files from folder ./includes/ucp. Said email will be sent from [email protected].

Thank you.

I can do that if you think it is the best option. But I am a novice. Is this type of sudden break normal? Should I expect to require upgrade with each new release? I am really hoping to achieve a stable platform, which achieves our needs, and last several years without interference....

Anyway, how should I go about the upgrade? just install 3.0.6 and 1.4.3 on top of what is already there or will I have to uninstall 1.2.4 first (automod/uninstall)?

PS: I am now reading your forum too.

Told you I was novice

Hello Steve,
it's always recommended to use the newest software releases. At least to fix security holes.

In ADAP there haven't been security holes known by now. ADAP 1.4.x offers completely new features which haven't been included in ADAP 1.2.4 and before. But developement ADAP 1.2.x is closed and I'm not able to support outdated versions of my MOD. And if there have been bugs in 1.2.4 or later then they are always fixed surely in newer versions.

More you can find at the e-mail answer I sent to you.

Bye Martin

great mod! Is there a way for the user to activate oneself by clicking on the link instead of me(admin) going in ACP to activate?

Hello murdmon,
I'm not sure what you mean. But I think you should set account activation to 'User'. So the users only have to confirm their email address. Then their account is activated completely.

Hello katib,
there have only been some small bugfixes and some phpBB 3.0.6 compatibility changings. So, if all is running well then there is no reason to update.

Thanks for quick reply
Well, there was a small "bug" in ADAP 1.4.2
If you mark a user from inactive uses list, scroll down, choose "activate" then "send", the user is then activated, but no email sent to him
A workaround was to click on his name, go to "confiramtion" page added by ADAP and actviaed him
So deos this bug has been sorted out ?
