Hello katib,
this is not a ADAP bug, it's a phpBB3 bug.

Hello,
I'm absolutely happy about the successfully validation of ADAP 1.4.3 :!: :) Since 1.0.9, the last validated version, a lot of time is gone! But a lot of new features have been included into the MOD/Pack, too.
MOD validators gave me some advices for some smaller optimizations. But at the moment I have other things to do. So it seems that the next version will come if there will be compatibility issues with new phpBB3 releases in future. Although I'm sitll hoping that some or all of the features will be included into phpBB core - perhaps for phpBB 3.1.x?

Update instructions:
From older ADAP 1.4.x versions there is not need to run the umil_auto_adap.php. From versions before 1.4.0 please reinstall the MOD.
For all older versions please check all file edits again and upload the files included in this MOD again. And then purge the board cache.
I know that checking all file edits really is a hard job for this large MOD/Pack. But to programm it needs a lot of time, too. Sorry, I don't have the time to write detailed update instructions. I hope you understand.

Bye Martin

First, thanks for the mod.

We use some drop down boxes in our custom profile fields. Is there a way to send the resolved data instead of the selection number in the activation email.

Example: We have a drop down for Title, can we have the email show this as CEO instead of the selection number 4 as it currently does.

Thanks.

Hello smills29,
I will have a look to this point then I'm working on a new version of the MOD.
But if I will not found any compatibility problems with phpBB3 future releases I will not do a new version.

Anybody having problems installing this through automod?

I just tried and was not successful....there were three finds that automod said could not be found,
but I could see them in the editor.

Any ideas?

Hello Mike,
the MOD/Pack has been validated for phpBB 3.0.6 . So it is running with AuoMOD. But I'm not using AutoMOD. (I like it to know what I'm doing. Learning by doing.)

Two ideas:
First: Do the missing edits manually.

Second: Look if the files have been modified by other MODs. Upload fresh phpBB3 files for the files you have problems with. Try ADAP install with AutoMOD. And then redo the file edits for the other MODs.

I think it is a ADAP bug
In ACP --> general -->, If I set registration settings to admin+user
1- then, via the ACP by selecting Users & Groups -> Inactive users -> marking the username in the list view (the check box) and selecting Activate. The account is activated, but activation notification email is not sent to the user
2- If I activate user within his page overview or confirmation page (added by ADAP) the activation notification email is sent to the user

Now, without disabling ADAP
In ACP --> general -->, If I set registration settings to admin
notification email is sent in ALL cases !!!

Quite strange !! isnot it

Re: Advanced Double Activation Pack

I am trying to install "Advanced Double Activation Pack" and I get 3 errors.
Basically automod is saying it can't find a string in one of the files, but if I manually look,
I can see it.

In a nutshell, it is getting confused at some places where you do an add before...then you do an
add after...with the same string.

I wonder if that may be confusing things. Might it be better to search for the next back of characters and
do another add before on a new string? (If that makes sense)

If anybody can give me a hit as to what to keep in mind, I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Mike

Ive got the same trouble
Basically, I took note of every AutoMod warnings: in which file, what ot add, after what...
Force AutoMod to commit changes
Open the files, manually add the previously noted changes
And you are done :)

Hi Martin
What exactly happen when a user is marked as "forced to change his email address" ?
I see that board continues to send him (bounced) notifications emails
This should not happen until the marked user provide a valid email address

Hello katib,
thank you very much for the feedback. I think I will add this missing check the next version of the MOD.

If a user is forced to change his email address then he is not deactivated. If you would deactivated then he would not be able to chnage his email address.

By now I have not tested with 3.0.7. If I will find compatibility issues with 3.0.7 or a later version then I will do the next version of the MOD.
