For everyone who is having 'trouble' with this, you might not be understanding everything. It will change the setting for all NEW registrations, only. You will have to go into your database and change each 'current' user's setting on this. And, those who want to receive them may get a little angry! :mrgreen:

My personal opinion is that this mod should be part of the core phpbb3!

Just a noosy question for you David.

I wanna set it to "no" when first installing the mod.

found this line in install.xml. Im pretty sure its that simple, just to change a 1 or 0 to 1 or 0. But what one ?

Code: Select all

INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_name, config_value, is_dynamic) VALUES ('user_notify', '1', '0');

Spanish translation:

Open: language/es/acp/board.php

Find:

Code: Select all

?>
Add before:

Code: Select all

    // User notify mod
    $lang = array_merge($lang, array(
       'USER_NOTIFY' => 'Notificar al usuario sobre las respuestas',
       'USER_NOTIFY_EXPLAIN' => 'El valor por defecto para cuando un usuario se registra para recibir respuestas a los mensajes.',
    ));
