Re: Manage attachments ACP module for phpBB3

Post by LeNeR »

Hi.

I have finished the directions of install.txt and have come to the part where I am supposed to open module.php in my browser. The contrip folder is uploaded to root/contrib, but when I go to my browser window I get error (http 500) webpage not found. I tried uploading the files again and still I can't open the module.php in browser. I found in this thread that someone experienced same problem but figured it out. I have not... Hope you can help.

Regards.

As per the MOD installation instruction,
Copy contrib/install/module.php to the board root and run it in web browser.
Delete the file after running!
Try to run modile.php from your board root, please.

Thank you for this excellent MOD!

I just installed v1.2.0 and there is a minor display issue in the ACP module when using the current release of Opera (Windows). The attachments table doesn't clear the admin menu. No big deal, just FYI. :)

Thanks for your feedback!
I've tested the MOD on Opera 9.5beta when developing, and all seemed to be ok. Will try it with Opera 9.27.

Perhaps it's something at my end, then. Or perhaps something to do with phpBB 3.0.1 update?

v1.0.2 of your MOD, the first version I tried, worked as expected. Unfortunately I updated Opera, phpBB, and your MOD all within a couple of days (phpBB and your MOD at the same time) so can't be too sure what changed when.

I'll try to make a point of giving it all a closer look later, to see if I can make sure it wasn't something that happened during the update or is something else at my end.

One of my attachment has a "very long" name and it make me not able to view the fields behind it. Is there any solution for solving this beside then just delete the file?
Please help me~ :|

I need to take a time to sort it out. The only advice I can give you while problem isn't solved is just to download the file, delete it from post, rename and upload it again.

I have move the "file name" column to be the last field. It not looks nice, but has solved my problem temporary. :D

That's weird. Are you sure your database modules table is not crashed or something?

I dont have a clue when it comes to the database, i dont even touch it unless i have to set up a mod that alters the database.

If it comes to it i will wipe my database and reinstall the board.

You could look at this method for restoring modules.

Tested the MOD installation on 3.0.1now. Evereything seems to be installed and working fine...can't imagine what could cause such effect.

Did you purge the cache after using that modules restoration method?
