Hi everybody who's reading this!

You know what? This MOD works for me, BUT the guests can see the same annoucement even with the option "show diferent annoucement to guests" set as YES at the ACP.

Can you figure out what's happening?

Are you writing a different announcement at the bottom of the screen that says guest announcements? If so check your user permissions in ACP for guests.

Yep. The guests and user annoucements are diferent for sure. You've told me that could be a permission issue. What should I do, then? First of all, I login into the ACP. Then I click in PERMISSIONS and then..? I don't know what do know. I'm kinda stuck. Could you give the steps, please?

Do your guests have the same permissions as your registered users? if so then you will have to change their permissions to no or never for what you want them to do or see. Can you post a screen shot of your announcement acp and the configure screen shot also?

Also, is this the best mod for global announcements?

i dont know this theme, if it is based on prosilver or subsilver2 you should have no problems.

i am sure when you ran the install/index.php file it mentioned something like this at the end

Announcement Centre installation complete. Please delete this folder (/install)!!

once that is done, you and your users should be ok

Hi, this is what i see before logging in, after and inside the ACP



al registered users face the same problem.

You have to highlight all the users in the box and click on Groups and then submit. I think you will be fine after that. Hope this helps!

i've already done this hundreds of times but ain't work, concerning deleting the install fiolder, i've renamed that folder, i don't think deleting it will fix the problem, i will try that any way ( my forum is haunted maybe )

you didnt disable the board in the board settings before installing the mod and forgot to enable it again by any chance, did you?

just to be sure, i would check that setting as well.

Hello, i tried that but didn't work either, please tell me which part of editing is related to permissions?!

there really is only one edit in the overall_header.html which is right at the bottom (very last line ) in prosilver.

if you have that somewhere else it shoudl be right at the bottom.

have you tried to uninstall the mod, i.e. run the install/index.php and uinstall, then undo the edits or upload your backed up files? do you still have that problem then?

i really can't think of anything else anymore.
