1.0.5 and Plural Rules

by Raul [ThE KuKa] » Mon Dec 25, 2017 8:18 am

Hi Rich,

For Spanish users it would be necessary to change this:

Code: Select all

	'USERS_24HOUR_TOTAL'	=>  '%d registrado,',
	'HIDDEN_24HOUR_TOTAL'	=> ' %d oculto ',
With this:

Code: Select all

	'USERS_24HOUR_TOTAL'		=> array(
		1 => '%d registrado,',
		2 => '%d registrados,',
	),
	'HIDDEN_24HOUR_TOTAL'		=> array(
		1 => '%d oculto ',
		2 => '%d ocultos ',
	),
Or for new version ?

Thanks for all Rich.

Hi Raul,

Not sure if they are necessary or not. Please look at the attached to see how the lingo has changed.

Hello again Rich.

I see, but this is the problem...

Registered it's translated in Spanish by Registrado

Registrado = 1 user.
Registrados = 2 user's or more.

With Hidden text, exactly the same thing happens. I doubt it is the only language {ISO} with this problem, maybe someone comments something else.

Thanks again Rich, not just for this, for all your work. ;)

Those lang keys have to do with the information found after this line from the pic
In total there were 40 users ::
registered can be either, eg, 3500 or 1. 3500 registered or 1 registered
same for hidden 3500 or 1. 3500 hidden or 1 hidden

so would you say
however this is said in spanish :: 8 registratdos or 8 registrado?
But if you need it to be plural, then follow the plural rules for your language and it should work without me having to edit any code for it.
