Trying to save but getting 403 Forbidden error

by onewhite » Mon Jun 17, 2024 3:51 am

Hi All,

I have installed the extension and have an ads.txt file in the site (phpbb 3.3.12), which has been verified by Google Adsense.
It has given me some adsense code to copy/paste.

I then try to create a "new advertisement" in the extension, but when I click "submit" I get a big black screen that says "403 Forbidden". If I click the "analyse advertisement code" button and that also displays the "403 forbidden" screen.

The code snippet provided by google is (redacted certain values):

Code: Select all

<script async src="https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-XXXXXXX"
     crossorigin="anonymous"></script>
Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Thank you,
Dave

Thank you! I did the search had a read and found the solution.

For me, I had to go into CPanel, then search for "Mod Security" and then disable it for my domain.
This then allowed me to add the advertisement in the extension without a problem.

Now we wait to see if the ads appear! hehe.

Thanks again for your direction and help on this.
