Center image, 3.2

by Nycklick » Sat Mar 18, 2017 3:36 pm

Hi,

after the update to 3.2 I can't center images on my forum. Today I updated ext to 3.1.4 but no effect. Any idea? align=center works fine when used for text but not for images.

Might it help to completely delete data of your extension?

I'm having the same issue, but with inline image attachments.

Example:

Code: Select all

[center][attachment=0]Clipboard02.png[/attachment][/center]
Note that I upgraded from 3.1.10 to 3.2 -- plus I've used the "center" bbcode since 3.0.x -- and I have thousands of posts with centered inline images. I would hate to redo them all, plus there is no Reparse BBCode feature. :(

Or even on your test site you linked above, I still can't do it:

Code: Select all

[align=center][attachment=0]Clipboard02.png[/attachment][/align]
See the test post I created in your test forum: http://forum.mattfriedman.me/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1660

In case your site auto-prunes the post before you get to see it (here is the screenshot):

As far as I've known, "INLINE ATTACHMENTS" for an image can be centered if placed within the center bbcode.

So is this something that is a problem now with 3.2? I do it all the time with 3.1.10 -- see this post:

http://www.mixingonbeat.com/phpbb/viewt ... f=66&t=562

See that image at the top of the post. It was an attached image in that post, and I simply pressed the Place inline button and placed it within center bbcode.

Code: Select all

It's a problem with phpBB 3.2. You can't put an attachment inside any BBCodes (except quote) anymore.

Ah, man! This really sucks! So how am I going to fix the gazillion posts in my forums?

Hmm? I did find one inline attachment in one of my posts that is centered and it's using the center bbcode in 3.2.

Are you sure this is not a bug with abbc?

My 3.2 site is still offline since I am working on it. My live site is still 3.1.10.

Is this still a issue with 3.2.2?

It will not work on some themes, that's for sure.

That will depend on the theme. So ask to the theme owner, maybe he knows why.
