Let me see if I can explain what I am thinking...
I would like to use Animated/Video as Background, but may wish to utilize from either Youtube or Video/animated image downloaded to a sub-folder in PhPBB directory.
Would it be possible to do with this extensions?

with a few changes you could use an animated gif file. just change the file name and extension in ext / alex75 / background / styles / prosilver / theme / background.css
