I just wanted to ask if a post is set to the future, will it wait to display until that date is reached?

This question has been open for almost two months, you might want to just try it. (Trying to be helpful here!)

You can set posts for a future date and they will display.

I do have one issue on my board though. Future posts are always marked as "unread", even after you visit the post.

Any ideas?

I would like to keep this implemented for organizing events posted on the forum.

If I recall correctly, this calculation is done by the forum software based on the difference between the posting date and the reading date. Given that the posting date is future, the shown behavior is correct.

Two years later... using latest version of the extension on phpbb 3.2.3, I can say that changing the time does not hide the post and display it at the future time.
