Time Offset

by bcurran3 » Sun Dec 13, 2015 3:21 am

I finally installed this today. It's very useful when merging threads.

Problem is, the time I enter isn't the time that the post then saves and displays, it's off by 2 hours. i.e. I just did a test post, edited it, changed the date to 2015-1-1 and the time to 00:00. The post now displays as "Wed Dec 31, 2014 10:00 pm" off by two hours! Is this a bug? Did I miss a setting somewhere? My time displays correctly for posts (i.e. now is Sat Dec 12, 2015 7:20 pm local time)

Check timezones of both forum and user. This usually happens when they are different.

Call me dumb, but I looked all over ACP and can't find a place to set the system/forum clock.

The user is me. The time displays correctly on the Portal extension, the analog clock extension, and when I post. I just did a test post and it showed the correct time. I then edited the time to 01-01-2015 12:00 and when I went to view it, the post showed 01-01-2015 10:00.

Any specific guidance to a place I should look?

In the ACP, in the General tab, Site characteristics.

I have the same problem. "Board settings" in General tab have only 'Guest timezone'.

I have now fixed this as well (different way than Dook1 proposed, but that one is ok as well).
Will release it in the next upcoming release.
