Change e-mailaddress - Contact Admin

Re: Change e-mailaddress

I second this request to send emails to board e-mail address instead of owners/admins etc. The reason is that in my board there are admins (founders) that are not active, but should have access to the board for historical and other reasons.
Could you please consider adding an option to send emails to the board email address or user defined email address to avoid "spamming" founders? Thanks :-)

Sorry, if the users aren't active then what's the point of keeping them as administrators? That makes zero sense, logically speaking.

I probably will not be updating this extension but you are free to take the code and do with it as you will.

In my case there's one founder who remains founder for historical reason (he founded the forum many years ago and I don't want to restrict him even if there's no real reason to keep him the founder role). I have also one founder, who is not active as a board maintainer, but he cares about hosting so again I don't want to restrict him if he needs to change the board configuration. I can think of more reasons, e.g. a special guy maintaing the email support etc.

In general I would be okay with the default phpbb contact formular if it supported a Captcha to prevent spamming my email.

Your extensions are great, many thanks for your effort and time, but in this case I really miss this "default" functionality. It seems I'll have to learn coding :-)

If it's just the one email address I guess you could hardcode it somewhere (probably not the best idea, but hey... )

You could also as a workaround put a specific phrase in every email and auto-forward the emails with a filter that looks for that phrase?
