custom forum topic posting

by HillBilly419 » Fri Sep 08, 2017 5:56 am

Hey Rich, before this was approved you helped me make the subject line in the forum topic read "email address" - "subject" (see this area viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2372886&start=45#p14494036 )

When I updated Contact Admin the other day it must have rewritten the file (and I failed to make a backup!!) and it seems that the line that was changed is no longer line 438.

Is this the right code to change?

'submit_post('post', $subject, $this->user->data['username'], POST_NORMAL, $poll, $post_data);

then it changes into this ?
submit_post('post', $data['email'] . ' - ' . $subject, POST_NORMAL, $poll, $post_data);

thanks in advance. if you say yes I promise to make a backup this time so I won't bug you with little stuff next time it needs updating. :D

Yes that is the correct line but it should be this

Code: Select all

submit_post('post', $subject . ' - ' . $data['email'], $data['username'], POST_NORMAL, $poll, $post_data);

Thanks Again, Rich. that is the reason I ask a professional before I mess it up <blush> :oops:

I swapped the subject line and email address so the email address comes up first, is this OK? ( it works, but works doesn't always = OK)

submit_post('post', $data['email'] . ' - ' . $subject, $data['username'], POST_NORMAL, $poll, $post_data);
