Digests 3.3.4 released

by MarkDHamill » Fri Dec 18, 2020 6:02 pm

This release fixes two small bugs and brings the various language files up to date with changes made by the translators that were not incorporated in version 3.3.3.
  • One bug fixed was to remove the default for whether the all forums checkbox should be checked or unchecked when displayed. This is not needed and can cause a situation where a list of forums wanted in the digest cannot be saved.
  • Another bug was reported that large images in the digest were causing a horizontal scroll to occur when the image was seen in an email. A styling change was made so these images would fit inside the container.
Also, for some weeks the archive of version 3.3.3 on my website was incorrect and contained a different extension. The archive on GitHub was correct. That archive has been replaced with a correct version.

You can download it from the extension's page or the GitHub release branch. You can see a list of changes since version 3.3.3 here.

I am running Digests 3.2.0-RC7 on PHPBB 3.2.0. If I upgrade to PHPBB 3.3.2 and then follow the Digest update instructions, will the required changes to the existing Digest database automatically happen or do I have to perform some manual tasks for the new release to work with my existing database?

Digests 3.2.0-RC7 should not work on phpBB 3.3.2 because it's constrained to the 3.2 branch. Digests 3.2.13 is the last approved version but it should not work on phpBB 3.3 either. The current unapproved version is 3.3.4 which will run on phpBB 3.3.2. Simply following the normal extension update procedures should handle any changes to the database since your version.
