Affiliate system?

This extension would be ultimate if it had an affiliate system built into it. Percentage going to other users for selling subscription would go a very long way. Hope you implement it to this in the future ;)

Can you describe how it would work? Would it involve a credit system for referrers to use to pay for their own subscriptions?

Affiliate systems usually work on the platform of an "agent" selling a "product" and erning commission from each sale.

In the case of Robbie787's query it would work like this.

Member A persuades Member B to purchase a subscription. Member B duly purchases his subscription on forum and completes the "sale" instigated at the persuasion of Member A.

Member A earns comission from that sale.

For this to work, it would require additional layers to the ACP side of things to add a "member referals" page. That would need to collate the username of the referring members, how many referals they have made in total, how much comission they have earnt, how much comission they earn per referral (which needs to be a variable option)., the referral code they have each been assigned.

Also required would be a comission earnt as well as comission paid option, where commision is paid either only when a certain amount is earnt, or paid immediately to the members paypal account which would mean the options to set either method within the ACP panel for the Extension. Either that, or a seconddary option could be to put the comission earnt as a discount on that refering members subscription costs when it is next due.

A checkbox for "did a member of the forum refer you to the subscription" (yes/no) would be required on the "purchase subscription" page

Checkbox "NO"
Checkbox "YES" (triggers two textboxes to appear)

Textbox1 with the following title: "Please enter the referring members name in the textbox below"

Textbox2 with a title "members referal code"

Of course, this could be futher extended by giving the options to add members to the referal program at a certain post count and also having the option to specify that they must be in a specific group to earn a certain commision level, moving in to a different group based on total referals made.

Just my "2cents" on it.

In fact, if that were to be added as a feature set, I would be more than happy to use it.
