Hi!
As the extension "Mark edited as unread" is no longer available, is it possible to modify this extension to mark a post unread not only by the reader but for everybody, please?

Yes, I think it would be useful if this feature was available to all registered forum members.
So that a reader could flag posts of interest to them for re-reading later.
