I don't know why, but the ext stopped working.
Video's won't embed anymore. I also get the message that I cannot use the [media] bbcode ..

phpBB 3.2.3 RC.1
PHP 7.2.3

What browser are you using.

Some, and only some, of my users are getting the same thing after updating, and it might be tied to the browser.

Firefox Beta 62. But the same problem with Firefox 58 portable. So no browser issue.
I use "Magic OGP links" extension: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/magicogp/
But same problem when disabling that ext.. so don't think that had something to do with it..

Getting some users who have an issue with Chrome and Opera, but FF is working OK for me.

Don't think that this is normal. This ext is made to embed the video's.. Should not show just the url ..

I have rolled back to 1.0.1 to see if this fixes my user's problems.

What version are you using? The new version has new settings and new permissions so you should check those settings and make sure they are correct for your users.

I'm having the same problem. I as an admin can use the [media] bbcode, but it doesn't seem to be working for other users. Where are these new settings located? All I can find are the general settings under Posting > Media Embed.

could you please tell me where the per forum permissions get set? currently, only admin users can use the media extension.

so the default is no permission? for registered user group?

How do I set it to yes in a forum with ~30 forums?
by going going into each forum permission setting individually?

Is there any other way?
