Have been using this extension for years without a problem.

However, we recently upgraded our forum software to the latest version of phpBB (3.3.11).

Now the YouTube embed no longer works with version 2.0.1 of this extension.

Any ideas?

Found the issue.

For some reason, YouTube was unselected in the list of supported media in the extension settings.

I have the same issue but when I go to select youtube from the list of sites/media it is not selectable. Not sure why that is.

Yes. You have defined a custom BBCode for youtube so the Media Embed version cannot be used due the conflict.

Did your custom BBCode exist before you installed the Media Embed plugin? If so then read through https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... pic/216766 for possible solutions. As you will see in that topic, I've been there and done that.

The Media Embed was only really installed more recently.
I have deleted the youtube BBCode.
The [media][/media] bbCodes work but even without those tags the youtube video's load and are viewable within the post. Seems like problem solved.
Its not a video heavy forum but the 48 or so youtube videos within can be updated by myself in a bit of manual labour!

Thanks for the link and for your input. Once I've been through and tweaked the existing youtube videos then I shall know for sure that it really is problem solved.
