Hi,
I have installed this on phpBB 3.2.3 and can confirm it works with only one issue so far: Members of the administrators group do not have both a special and normal rank. If they have a special rank set, only that rank will show, not a normal one as well. If they do not have a special rank set the normal rank will show.

I cannot reproduce this. On my 3.2.3 test board I'm in the groups Administrators, Global moderators and Registered users, and I have both a normal and a special rank displayed below my username.

Edit: hang on, I see the problem now.

Edit2: I'm not sure what's going on with the rank system but it isn't working as I would expect it:

I added a user without a special rank to the admin group and the user got the admin group's special rank (Site Admin) assigned. I set a new special rank (Super Site Admin) to the user and it got updated throughout the board as expected. Then I removed the user's Super Site Admin rank, expecting the admin group's rank Site Admin to take over again, but that wasn't the case: the user didn't have any rank at all. Only after removing and adding the user to the admin group again, the user had the admin group's Site Admin rank again.

At the moment I don't think there's anything I can do in this extension to fix this. The only way to solve the problem seems to be re-adding your admins to the admin group.

Hi kasimi, thanks for taking the time to look at that.
For now I'll do what you suggested by adding/removing from the group.

Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to give more than one rank to the same user? I've enabled this extension and I'm trying to give myself a special rank from the acp but if I do so, I'll lose my site admin rank. Seems I can only have one rank at a time.

Correct. This extension displays the normal rank and additionally one special rank, if the user has one. This is also outlined in the contribution description.

I'll lock this topic now as it has become too crowded. For further support please start a new topic.
