Pages extension

Using the following extension;

Display Name: Pages
Clean Name: phpbb/pages
Description: An extension which allows you to add static pages to your phpBB forum
Version: 2.0.3
Homepage: https://www.phpbb.com

I'm not understanding why I can get back to the Top by clicking on the 'Back to Top' links but cannot go to a section when clicking on 'Item one' for example. Wondering if a guru could help me with this so I can create an FAQ in the forums with links to each section.

Code: Select all

<ul>
<a href="https://forums.domain.com/my-faq/#Top"></a>
	<li id="menu-item-100" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-100"><a href="https://forums.domain.com/my-faq/#ItemOne">Item one</a></li>
	<li id="menu-item-101" class="menu-item menu-item-type-custom menu-item-object-custom menu-item-101"><a href="https://forums.domain.com/my-faq/#ItemTwo">Item two</a></li>
</ul>
<hr>
<h3><a href="#Top">Back to Top</a></h3><br /><br />

<h3><a id="ItemOne"></a>Item one</h3>
Blah blah blah
<br /><br />

<h3><a href="#Top">Back to Top</a></h3><br /><br />

<h3><a id="ItemTwo"></a>Item two</h3>

Blah blah blah
<br /><br />

If you don't make the target hrefs absolute URLs like that -- i.e. just "#ItemOne" instead of "https://forums.domain.com/my-faq/#ItemOne" -- does it behave any better? Not that I know the absolute URL would have an issue in this particular scenario, but it also seems unnecessary given that "#ItemOne" already means "on the current page."

Ah, interesting, that solved it. Thank you.

Now, I wonder... because I have at least 50 links, there is a long single line of those links to sections at the top.
How could I arrange them so they are say three columns wide rather than one long list?

Some CSS directly on the <ul> element should allow for that. Or via the CSS style sheet instead, if that's more appropriate to your overall strategy. Looks like it might take a bit of playing to get what you really want to see; this information looked helpful to me.

That will work. I just wasn't sure of the terms I should be looking for. This gave me all I need to search.

Thank you very much.
