Adding links to existing pages

by PeteBartram » Wed Sep 18, 2024 8:18 am

Hi - forgive what is probably a very basic query . . . we are at last updating our very old Forum, and I'd like to duplicate the look of the navbar (actionbar?) by adding links to pages such as Active topics, Members:
Forum navbar old.gif
I thought I could do that by using Pages to add links to existing pages, rather than creating new ones; is that correct? I tried adding a link using the url for active topics (https://upgrade.....re.co.uk/forum/search.php?search_id=active_topics), but got the error message The field `route` received unexpected data. Reason: The input contained illegal characters.

Thanks

Unfortunately, no, the Pages extension can’t be used for what you’re asking. It’s meant for creating static pages and doesn’t support more complex features. You might need a different extension or a custom solution.
