Hello and congratulations for the ext. I have phpbb version 3.3.12 and latest PPDE version 3.0.4.
The extension seems to work fine:
- I tested donating with real money and the donor/donation statistics are correct
- the donor immediately receives email notification from PayPal that he has made the donation
- the donor receives notification ON THE FORUM (bell icon) that the donation has been correctly received by the forum
WHAT DOESN'T WORK:
1) admin does not receive email notification that a donation has been made
2) donor does not receive notification via email that he has correctly made the donation
WHAT I CHECKED
I checked in the user control panel (both admin and donor side) that the options to also receive notification via email were flagged, but no one receives email notifications from the extension
PAYPAL IPN
I set up the IPN link with https://mydomain.it/ipn-listener
TRANSACTION LOG
- ipn status: verified
- payment status: completed
What should I check to ensure that both the admin and the donor also receive notification emails for the donation?
NOTE: I have several exts installed on the forum, all 100% compatible with phpbb 3.3.12
Thanks for any helpful pointers

Re: donation email notification does not arrive
UPDATE: I just made a second test transaction and now the donor also receives notification of the donation via email.
As for the admin, I still don't receive a notification email.

Re: donation email notification does not arrive
Hi,
Is the phpBB notification works for both users? Not the email, the phpBB embedded notification.
Since PPDE 3.0.4, I made a couple of fixes, but nothing related to the emails notification.
To be confirmed... But, if I'm not mistaken, you don't receive the email notification if you're connected on the forum.

I just created a new post for known issues.
Please read it (and apply the fixes): https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... pic/247531

Re: donation email notification does not arrive
Good evening, I repeated the test again and I confirm that everything works.
test conditions:
- admin logged out
result:
1) donation email notification reaches both the admin and the donor
2) integrated phpbb notification (bell icon) reaches both admin and donor
regarding your indications below:
Thanks

Should these fixes be applied mandatory or only if the problem occurs? I currently don't have these problems with the cases you mentioned in the link.Skouat wrote:I just created a new post for known issues.

It's always a good thing to apply fixes. But if you're not facing them... it's up to you to decide whether or not to apply them.gbergna wrote: Should these fixes be applied mandatory or only if the problem occurs? I currently don't have these problems with the cases you mentioned in the link.
