Paypal settings - I need help! [Solved?]

I think I have installed the addon correctly and it seems to be working. My problem is at the Paypal end.

When you try to make a donation, the response is
"We can't complete your donation. This organisation's account is inactive."
The instructions say:
"PayPal IPN instructions
To enable the PayPal IPN, login to your PayPal account and navigate to "History" > "IPN History".
On this page click the "turn on IPN" link to go to the IPN settings page."
But I can't do that, because I can't find the 'History'

However, I was able to get to enter the IPN URL as specified by the extension, at https://www.paypal.com/merchantnotifica ... preference
Once you are on the IPN settings page, select "Receive IPN messages (Enabled)" and add the PayPal IPN URL in the "Notification URL" input field.
Click "Save" and you are done."
But that doesn't seem to be good enough. Is there something else I need to do?

I think that the Paypal site changes its layout and structure in an ongoing attempt to baffle me. Please can someone give me step by step description of where to go, starting from https://www.paypal.com ?

Later...

As ever, asking here for help moved the goalposts. I had tried tweaking everything I could think of, then posted my request for help.

Just checking to see if there were any more clues that I had missed, I tried to make a payment (without changing anything) and, you guessed it, the payment went through.

So I have moved on from not knowing why it wouldn't work, to not knowing why it does work.

The confusing mess of Paypal pages remains as impenetrable as ever.

Hi hairydog,

Thanks for pointing out these differences between the FAQ and PayPal. If I find the time, I'll update the FAQ.

With all these changes, I'm surprised PPDE still works with PayPal :D
