Choosing when registration

by Widmo696 » Sat Dec 12, 2015 6:27 am

Hello,

How to add option to choose gender when registering?
I tried to add this code in ucp_register.php

Code: Select all

<dl>
      <dt><label for="gender_x">{L_GENDER}{L_COLON}</label></dt>
      <dd>
         <label for="gender_m"><input type="radio" name="gender" id="gender_m" value="{GENDER_M}" /> {L_GENDER_M}</label>
         <label for="gender_f"><input type="radio" name="gender" id="gender_f" value="{GENDER_F}" /> {L_GENDER_F}</label>
         <label for="gender_x"><input type="radio" name="gender" id="gender_x" value="{GENDER_X}" /> {L_GENDER_X}</label>
      </dd>
   </dl>

But don't work so propably need to add code in listener.php
Forgive me my English.

It's strange because now I saw that language don't work at register page. When i go to my UCP and want to change gender there's no problem, but when i tried to register i have "GENDER_M GENDER_F GENDER_X". Why don't read language file in registration page?

It is using the same code as for updating a profile so not sure why it isn't. Only thing I can think of is that the users language isn't being set. Are you using the en lang as your default language for the forum? If not then you probably have to translate it for the language in use.

Hi,

Would it be possible to add this option in the original extension, so that the future updates won't require to re-apply this modification ?

Thanks in advance for your answer ;)

Not sure if there will be any future updates but if there are I will be sure to include it as an option in a ACP entry.

How about 3.2?
Is there anything different?
I need the Gender thing for some serious stuff. The Forum will be a Registration for your social club.
How does the Values get stored in the DB?
