Not Working With Theme

by aeneas1 » Thu Mar 17, 2016 9:23 am

installs fine, shows fine in acp, all acp flag options set to yes, but doesn't seem to work, problems include:

1. when new member tries to register it forces member to select a flag, but no flag options are visible...

2. no messages are displayed notifying current members to pick a flag...

theme is flatboots, saw this great looking extension in use on another site using flatboots, so i assumed it would work, here's the flatboots site that's using it...

http://fullonminis.co.uk/forum/index.ph ... 64195e5a53

any thoughts?

Your version of flatboots is missing template events. That is why they aren't displaying.

thanks very much for your prompt response! i really want to add your extension (and make a paypal donation) to my site, so i've posted the issue at the flatboots site along with your response, hopefully they'll have a solution....

btw, i have a question for you....

i would say 90% of my members will be from the united states, so it would be great to have u.s. state flags as well as international flags... is there a place where i can download u.s. state flags that will match your flags, can i add additional flags to your extension?

up and running, flatboots directed me to the "flatboots only" version:

quick question:

any easy way to allow users to select 2 flags? i found some nice u.s. state flags that i think will work well with yours, will add them and see how it goes, if all goes well i would like u.s. members to be able to select the u.s. flag and their state flag....

edited the ucp_user_flag.html file by creating a second instance of the entire code, copied/pasted it below the first instance, and was excited to see 2 dropdown flag menus in the user control panel after saving.... alas, even tho you could now select 2 different flags, one from each dropdown menu, only one would stick.... should have known it wasn't going to be that easy....

You would have to change a lot of the code to be able to have two flags. Need to add a second column in the users database as well as change the php code to then store and display that second flag.

I'm having the same problem with several other themes - using PBtech right now - is there a specific part of code that can be changed to fix this, without having the theme author make changes?

Your theme is probably missing template events which is why it probably isn't working.

I do not recommend this theme. I used it and even though I really liked it my users did not.
