Is there a way to disallow this extension to show those tiny flags almost everywhere?

It was fine under the avatar of the user in a thread (in older versions of this extension), but now we see tiny flags everywhere like:

viewforum = for both started topic user and last post user
index = main forum index page Last Post.
I think it's a bit of overkill. Yes, many of our forum users are patriots to their countries, but that's a bit too much -- plus very distracting when trying to read the title of the thread, now we see mostly flags of all types of countries.

Or at least give us that option in the ACP on where these flags should only appear and etc.

I'd still would like that option made in the ACP, this way each time I update this extension, I don't need to edit the php file.

I mean the same, definitely too many flags in the latest version! There should be no flags by the usernames on the start page.
