PHP Fatal Error After Forum Update

by Guppyman » Fri Dec 28, 2018 11:13 pm

Greetings,

I am getting the following error after updating to the latest forum version:

PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Symfony\Component\Routing\Exception\InvalidParameterException' with message 'Parameter "flag_id" for route "rmcgirr83_nationalflags_getflags" must match "[^/]++" ("" given) to generate a corresponding URL.' in /home/americanprogress/members.americanprogressiveradio.com/vendor/symfony/routing/Generator/UrlGenerator.php:160

Thank you.

Uninstall the extension and reinstall. What version of PHP and phpbb are you using?

Greetings,

Received the following message from my developer:

"Had the same issue after new installation However, after uploading the extension via FTP in an uncompressed form seems it worked.

Request you to kindly review the same at your end and please let me know if you have any observations or questions."

Appears to be sorted. TYVM.

You shouldn't be using the hosts server to uncompress extensions just as it states in the instructions provided on here.

Hi,

Well, being a self-proclaimed moron when it comes to this stuff, I am forced to pay people to do these things for me. I'm also forced to assume that they know what they are doing.

I do apologize on his behalf. He's not one to quit until he finds a solution. It's hard for me to berate him for having that attitude, but I will bring it to his attention.

I am sorry.
