Update for 3.3.0?

by ALuk3y » Sun Jan 12, 2020 9:47 am

Hi,

Always worked great until the recent update now my forum just goes to a blank white page until this extension is disabled.

Is there any fixes in the pipeline?

Thanks

Hello all,

Would be great if taken care of...Atm im getting to set up a complete new forum, on a blank 3.3.0 version ...i urgently wanted to include the flags right of the start....

Same experience...extension activated...server 500 error with white page. Maybe someone around got a hot fix...I have read about the requirements with the json installer list is slightly different requiring other quotation marks...

thanks everybody for the great community here... me being back after years (2002 version was my last one)

Here's the same problem, until solved I have to keep the extension off.

Solved the problem by installing the extension 'Extensions .yml check', to be found 'here'.
You only need to download the required files with FTP client and edit them, like shown ....
I edited the files with Notepad++ and put them back where it belong
Thats all.
Works for me, hope for you too ...

Hello,
ok the Error 500 server error for only admin pages can be solved like that:
- FTP Access to your forum, goto directory /cache.
- Kill folder production
- Goto your forum and login as admin...you are asked for your credentials again and all is fine again...

Right on. It took me a minute to figure out that the folder in the zip file needed the version number removed from the folder name and changed it to "david63/extservicescheck" before uploading to get it enabled, but once I got it enabled it not only found the fix for the the flags extension for me but gave me the yml corrections for 3 other extensions I had problems with as well. Thanks for letting me know about it. :)

Also thanks to RMcGirr83 for making the national flags extension; its a great addition for the userbase of the forum I have it on. And thanks for your other extensions as well. I have several of your extensions enabled. :)

Superb extension!!! Nothing to say more!!! I would definitely donate some as soon as my paypal gets activated. It would be very helpful to have the link of the original author's page here and thanks to you for finding it and sharing it. :)

I must be doing something wrong here.
I downloaded and extracted thefile from the above link. I renamed the resulting folder, removing the version number only.
I FTP that folder up to my phpBB3/ext folder
I go to the board and login to ACP and goto manage extensions, and it does not show up on the list.
Any suggestions please?

UPDATE:
I figured it out. The extension did need to live in another folder as the OP pointed out: ext/david63/extservicescheck
Once I did that it worked perfectly.

I uploaded the main folder to ext, and now I cannot see the act as it says listener.php file none existence or I get a white blank page. please help me in order to have my board back up.

I looked inside and it needs to go to root. Why can't it say this before uploading.

Hello, thank you very much RMcGirr83 for your help, I have already edited the .yml files and everything is supposed to be fine.

But when activating the extension this message appears

This message also appeared before modifying the .yml files

Any solution? :(
