Tested in English and German.
A pictorial representation of the user differences in the gallery would help me to find fault with myself.

I've tested the changes, but unfortunately the new change in the language file doesn't seem to have any visible effects for me when using the gallery.

I don't know how to express myself any other way.
Also, I didn't understand the meaning or purpose of your change.
English is not my language.
The way I see it now they just added _GALLERY with nothing else changing.
Or what is the meaning or purpose of your change?

It was to stop the "Full Editor & Preview" button under "Quick Reply" on a topic page changing to one that simply says "Full editor"; nothing to do with how the gallery works.

Ok, I got it now! The reason I didn't understand it was that Google had mixed up the words a bit when translating them into German.
Your change put the button in the topic quick reply back to its original state (pictorial view):

I've been using this gallery for over 10 years and I never realized before that it was Gallery's fault.
