by aeneas1 » Fri Apr 01, 2016 2:49 pm

It does not work with Flat Boots. Most extensions do not work with Flat Boots. Flat Boots sells their own proprietary extensions (premium add-ons).

But also: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... s/faq/1461

as i mentioned earlier, lots of flatboots users are using "precise similar topics" without any problems, so it does work with flatboots...

http://www.sitesplat.com/phpBB3/viewtop ... =26&t=1281

i couldn't get it working and thought 3.1.8 may be the cause given another flatboots user who recently updated to 3.1.8 couldn't get it working either... but more flatboots users have responded to my post at the fb forum and it appears that the problem is that i'm working on a local host, which apparently prevents some extensions from working properly...

well that certainly hasn't been my experience... the far majority of phpbb3.1 extensions i've downloaded and installed from here (phpbb) have worked perfectly with flatboots, i'm currently using the following without issue:

add user
board announcements
default avatar
joined date format
lightbox
delete re:
national flags
search user topics
time ago
unique visitor count

i've also installed many others successfully but uninstalled them because they weren't quite what i was looking for...

yes they do, and i've purchased/installed about six of them, they're well done, like most of the extensions found here...

If this extension works with Flat Boots, it's because the developers of that Style made it compatible on their own. Support can only be obtained through them.

As for phpBB 3.1.8, this extension works with phpBB 3.1.8 just the same as all prior versions of phpBB down to 3.1.0. Localhost doesn't matter either, unless of course the conditions in FAQ I posted.

Many extensions do not work with that style, because any extension that has styling, relies on Prosilver inheritance, otherwise the ext has to create its own styling. Flat Boots does NOT inherit from Prosiler, so some extensions do NOT work with it, unless the authors of Flat Boots have built in styling patches for some extensions. Whether or not this extension is one of them, I have no idea, because flat boots is only for premium paying members and therefor is un-supported here.

For support here you have to view your board with Prosilver, and see how that performs.

Just to be sure, this should work with 3.1.9 which was recently released, right?

Thanks for confirmation.

Yes, got it installed and it works beautifully. Even looks great with our Styles, Simplicity and Elegance.
