I was very excited when I saw this extension so I directly installed it. But the PM doesn't send!
I really don't know what could cause this so please help me out!

EDIT: There is no problem in the permissions, so it really seems to be extension related

I'm using it on phpBB 3.1.5 and tested with a test-account on my board for the PM notification and it works.

How did you test that PM was not sent across? Telling that might help.

I did the exact same, registred a test account. activated it and logged in. The PM box was empty.
I later did it again after messing around with permissions, still no welcome pm.

phpbb version is 3.1.5, and is hosted on a localhost.
Furthermore: My message is rather long, I don't know if this could cause problems?

EDIT: Just registred the account for my Modorator, suddenly the PM is send! I registred 4 test accounts and on all of those it didn't work at all.
The only thing I can think of that caused this was either the fact they had "test" in their name (which would be funky) and that they had fake email adresses called test@dummy.com because my localhost intercepts email so I wouldn't need a real one. No other real defference between the real and test accounts.

No idea if this helps for debugging etc. but for now it seems that the extension works.

Did you try to reset the cache?

Might be something to do with the permissions - just a guess though. Please check if the newly registered members allowed to get the PMs?

Already checked the permissions yes. Also this wouldn't explain the fact that it didn't work 4 times before and then it did without changing anything.

I actually did not. There was in fact a pc reboot in between. My guess this was the problem.
I've worked with other forum software before and am quite new to phpbb. I find phpbb's caches system pretty confusing.

Same problem, No PM is being send
I tried with 3 test accounts
And I use phpBB 3.1.6

Deleted cache, Used good mail address and good solid nickname.
Nothing worked.

Doesn't work on my boards either. I can see that the issue on GitHub has been closed with an update that the extension will be updated, but that was 9 days ago, and the extension is still on version 1.0.0. I really like the idea of this extension, but have disabled it until I can be sure that it's functional every time a new user is registered.

I certainly wouldn't use this extension. One is able to set a user id of 0 which just doesn't exist. It's pretty sloppy if you want my honest opinion.

Now set a user id of 0, maybe even 1, in the ACP and test it. The PM will not send.
